We're locals, born & raised in Watsonville. We are 2nd generation Mexican AMERICAN women. Our shop comes from years of passion & a blend of great fashion & eco sustainability.
We moved to LA to discover new opportunities in fashion only to realize our biggest & brightest dreams were waiting for us in Watsonville, with our community. We became fashion directors, stylists & photographers & we worked in amazing projects with celebrities, influencers, famous brands and more!
While we enjoyed our careers in fashion, we wanted to spend more time with our family, so we started an online vintage shop and moved it here to watsonville. Second hand clothing & hand made goods, runs in our family.
Our candle making experience started when we wanted to add something homemade by us to our business. We realized while burning candles at home what harmful ingredients where in these candles & we wanted to make candles that were safe. In order to stand out from the crowd, we researched the best ingredients, soy, toxin free, safe & natural, eco friendly, plastic free & biodegradable. That's when we started Decor Ate Me Candles, were currently available online & in 26 stores worldwide.
We put so much love into sourcing the best vintage & hand designing each and every item in our home decor shop.
What started as a dream quickly became a viable business for us while moving back to Watsonville. We had been wanting to move back home, we loved the proximity to our family, community, friends, beaches and constant sunshine.
After years of saving & planning for a brick & mortar, we started looking for a physical shop. It took us years OF PLANNING, local markets & pop ups to find the perfect shop & we landed gracefully at the Eastlake Shopping Center, a hub for local small businesses.
At TBH. we sell curated mass & femme vintage clothes of all styles, all ages and all categories, candles, gifts, home decor, jewelry from local small businesses & soon we'll be hosting a self guided candle class & ARTIST WORKSHOP, our newest business venture, available for self care, family fun time, date nights, birthday parties, bridal parties, team building and so much more.
AT TBH., We are striving to connect our customers & our community with LOCAL & BIPOC artisans committed to creating a positive environmental impact AND SHOWCASING THEIR AMAZING PRODUCTS. OUR GOAL AT THE EAST LAKE SHOPPING CENTER IS TO BE THE BEGINNING OF A HUB AND SAFE SPACE FOR OUR LOCALS & OUR YOUTH TO SPEND TIME AND ENJOY THEIR HOME TOWN.
We're Mexicanas & we're family owned. Our style, our art, our world, is inspired by our mothers & our grandmothers. Our love of vintage, hand made goods, & providing the best experiences runs in our family.
Sustainability & transparency is a central part of our team. We invest in eco-friendly & recyclable product packaging, we hand source vintage directly, we re-work items in our personal studio, & we only use sustainable & eco friendly materials & tools to pack, produce & prepare all of our items.
